Representing plaintiffs at Neal Law in Atlanta, trial attorney Joseph R. (Joe) Neal Jr. has an extensive background leading an Augusta, Georgia, law firm. Today, Joseph Neal Jr. focuses on cases that involve wrongful death or serious personal injury.

One area of Mr. Neal’s in-depth knowledge is burn injuries, which are rated by severity and depth of burn and represent “devastating ordeals” both in terms of pain and the significant time and expense for treatment and recovery.

In 2011, Mr. Neal represented the daughter of a woman who was seriously injured when a water heater exploded in her home. Suffering severe burn injuries, the woman spent three months in a burn center.

The cost of care for her catastrophic burns totaled $4 million, and the woman died six months later from infections related to the burns. Filing suit and litigating against a giant gas company over two years, Mr. Neal was successful in attaining a substantial confidential settlement for the woman’s daughter.
