Neal Jr. represents clients seeking compensation for injuries sustained while operating a bicycle or motorcycle on Georgia roadways. Under Georgia law, people above the age of 12 are not permitted to ride a bicycle on the sidewalk. This means that many bicyclists must ride on roads shared with cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles. To ensure cyclists are protected, Georgia law stipulates that bicycle riders have the same rights as motorists.
Cyclists must follow the direction of traffic, and drivers must give riders a berth of at least three feet while passing. Bikers and motorists must adhere to all road signs and signal before turning. Drivers who do not follow traffic laws and cause a bicycle crash or injury may be held liable for any damages incurred.
